in san francisco, on the public buses, there is a sign warning passengers assaulting the driver is a federal offence and you may be prosecuted by law.
now...if san francisco didn't have such shit ass drivers with bad attitutes, there'd be no need for a sign, really. if how my mum and i were treated is any indication of the service standard here, it's no wonder these drivers get assaulted. they deserve it!
